Disclosure Of Information
eBike Insurance expect you to provide complete and accurate information when you take out your insurance policy, throughout the lifetime of the policy and when you renew your insurance. If you are unsure about disclosing any information please contact us for guidance.
Failure to disclose any material information or inaccuracies in the information given could invalidate your insurance cover and mean that part or all of your claim may not be paid.
Always keep copies of correspondence sent or received concerning your insurance.
You are reminded that it is an offence under the road traffic act to make any false statements or withhold any relevant information to obtain a certificate of motor insurance.

Statement Of Fact
When a policy is taken out we will send you a statement of fact which shows the information you have supplied to obtain insurance cover. Please read this carefully as the answers detailed on this statement are your responsibility. If you ask us to amend any answer, or add additional information we will send you a copy of the changes.

Policy and Administration Charges
We reserve the right to amend the level of the following charges at any time. You should also note that we will not be responsible for any fines or costs that you incur relating from late delivery of, or incorrect information on, any document relating to your insurance.
In addition to the premium, charges are made to cover the administration of your insurance. These are as follows:
- Pay As You Go premiums are subject to a £6 a month administration charge.
- Mid Term Changes to your policy will be subject to a £15 administration charge if the Additional Premium is over £20 or the Return Premium is over £25.
- Refunds of less than £10 will not be allowed.
- On cancellation of your policy we may allow a refund of premium on a pro rata basis, subject to no claims having been made in the policy term. This will be paid less a cancellation charge of £50.
- If you have a classic motorcycle policy and you cancel your policy having gone on cover, no refund of premium will be allowed.
The eBike instalment plan will be financed by Conister Trust Ltd which is arranged and administered on their behalf by Panacea Finance Ltd.

Legal Expenses (if applicable)
There is a charge of £0.20 included in all comprehensive premiums and £30 on all non-comprehensive premiums (both subject to Insurance Premium Tax if applicable) for Legal Expenses cover underwritten by I.G.I. Insurance Company Ltd.
Breakdown Assistance (if applicable)
There is a charge of £38. (subject to Insurance Premium Tax if applicable) included in all comprehensive premiums for breakdown assistance cover underwritten by DAS Legal Expenses Insurance Company Limited.

For data protection act purposes, eBike Insurance and Southern Rock Insurance Company Limited will hold and process your personal data for insurance administration and for the marketing of our own and other insurance related products. For these purposes, the information may also be passed to selected third parties and reinsurers. All personal data supplied must be accurate and you must have the specific consent of those other persons insured to disclose their personal data. Under the Data Protection Act, 1998 you have rights of access to any personal information we hold about you in our records. Motor Insurance Database
Your policy details will be added to the Motor Insurance Database (MID). The MID is run by the Motor Insurers Information Centre (MIIC). MID data may be used by the DVLA and DVLNI for the purpose of Electronic Vehicle Licensing and by the Police for the purposes of establishing whether a driver's use of the vehicle is likely to be covered by a motor insurance policy and/or for preventing and detecting crime. If you are involved in an accident, the MID maybe used by Insurers, MIIC and the Motor Insurers' Bureau to identify relevant policy information. Claims and Underwriting Exchange Register
eBike Insurance will pass information to the Claims and Underwriting Exchange Register which is run by Insurance Database Services Limited (IDS Ltd), and the Motor Insurance Anti-Fraud and Theft Register, run by the Association of British Insurers (ABI). The aim is to help us to check information provided and also prevent fraudulent claims. When dealing with your request for insurance these registers maybe searched. Under the conditions of your policy, you must inform us of any incident (such as an accident or a theft) which may or may not give rise to a claim. When you inform us of an incident, we will pass the information relating to it to the registers.

Cover
The eBike Insurance policy wording is available online. This should be read to ensure that the cover being provided to you is the cover you need. The cover we will issue for you will be based on the answers you have provided to the online quotation system. It is your responsibility to provide accurate information to eBike when you take out, change or renew your insurance policy.
Please note – it is your responsibility to ensure that you are in possession of a valid cover note or certificate of insurance before you use a motorcycle on the public highway. If your existing cover has expired, no cover will exist until a replacement cover note or certificate has been issued.
Once you have purchased your motorcycle insurance cover online you will be sent an email confirming cover details. We recommend you keep copies of all communications from eBike for your records. You will receive your Certificate, Policy Schedule, Statement of Fact and Policy Booklet by post.
Cancellation of Insurance Policies
(i) Where cancellation rights exist
If you are an individual or sole trader (including a partnership in England and Wales) buying a policy which provides cover for you in both a private and business capacity, you have the right to cancel your policy during a period of 14 days either from the day of purchase of the contract or the day on which you receive your policy documentation, whichever is the later. If you exercise this right and the cover has not yet commenced, you will be entitled to a full refund of the premium paid. If the insurance has commenced and provided that you have not made a claim, you will be entitled to a refund of the premium paid, subject to a deduction for the time you have been on cover and a deduction for our administration costs.
To cancel a policy log onto www.ebikeinsurance.co.uk and select the Make A Change To Your Policy option and click on the Cancel Policy option. Your Legal Expenses policy maybe cancelled at any time but the premium is non-refundable.
(ii) When cancellation rights do not exist
Standard Bike product
These insurance policies are arranged for a period of 12 months and you are required to pay the full amount stated. If you cancel the insurance before expiry date, other than in accordance with (i) above and there have been no claims, you will be refunded a pro rata amount less a £50 cancellation fee. The cost of add-on products that you purchase will be non-refundable (other than in accordance with (i) above). If there are any unpaid monies when the policy is cancelled, we may withhold documents such as no claims bonus to which you are entitled, until full payment is made. If you paid the premium by instalments the credit charges made by the premium finance provider will not be refunded.
Classic Bike product
These insurance policies are arranged for a period of 12 months and you are required to pay the full amount stated. If you have a classic motorcycle policy and you cancel your policy having gone on cover, no refund of premium will be allowed. The cost of add-on products that you purchase will be non-refundable (other than in accordance with (i) above). If there are any unpaid monies when the policy is cancelled, we may withhold documents to which you are entitled, until full payment is made. Pay As You Go product
Pay As You Go policies are issued on a monthly basis. If you cancel the insurance before expiry date, other than in accordance with (i) above, there will be no refund of premium. The cost of add-on products that you purchase will be non-refundable (other than in accordance with (i) above). If there are any unpaid monies when the policy is cancelled, we may withhold documents such as no claims bonus to which you are entitled, until full payment is made.
No Claims Bonus
If we are unable to validate your No Claims Bonus from the information you provide at quotation stage then you must provide written evidence of your No Claims Bonus within 14 days of the inception of your policy. Failure to provide evidence of your No Claims Bonus will result in cancellation of your policy on a gross premium basis, i.e. without the benefit of the discount. We do not accept No Claims Bonus earned outside of the European Union or Private Car Bonus or Commercial Vehicle Bonus; unless the commercial vehicle was a bike.
Payment of Premiums and Refunds
Unless otherwise agreed and formalised by a premium instalment plan, all premiums are due on the day cover is arranged, the date the policy is due for renewal or the date of any mid-term adjustment.
If we arrange an instalment plan for you an administration charge of £25 will apply, which is non-refundable. You will be responsible for paying the instalments as they fall due. In the event of payment not being made, you will be sent a 7-day cancellation letter by recorded delivery. Policy cover will cease from the date advised in this letter. Any refund due, after deduction of the cancellation charge, will be used against any outstanding balance on your instalment plan.
A 2.8% credit card handling fee will be applied to every credit card transaction.

Quotations
Quotations offered by the eBike Insurance on-line website are valid for 14 days. You will be issued with a quote reference number, which in combination with your e-mail address will allow you to retrieve any stored quote. eBike Insurance has the right to decline your risk or increase the premium payable if any errors or omissions are found in the statement of fact.
Governing Law
Unless we agree otherwise, this insurance will be governed by English Law. We have the right to refuse if you request a different law.
